I visited the White House a few weeks ago, and I had a wonderful time. But one thing struck me afterwords as I began to analyze my visit. The White House is really a giant fraternity. Consider this:
- People come and go, but the furniture remains.
- Lots of parties, gatherings, and dinners.
- Everyone knows that their time in the house is limited and long after they're gone, the place will continue to function without them.
- It's mostly about who you know.
- It's all political.
